Kappa container: the full path

What update 1.1 changes about the Collector unlock, the live task path, and a tickable checklist of all 41 found-in-raid hand-ins.

Last updated: July 27, 2026 Wipe / patch: 1.0.6.5

Kappa is the 3×3 secure container, and the only one you cannot buy. It is the reward for Fence's Collector quest, which unlocks only after you have cleared essentially every trader's task line — and then asks you for 41 unique found-in-raid collectibles on top. This is a whole-wipe project.

Update 1.1 changes how Collector unlocks. Battlestate Games have announced a task-system rework: most of the side tasks in the requirement list are being dropped, and trader loyalty and reputation gates take their place. The announcement is here.

Announced, not shipped. There are no published patch notes for 1.1.0.0 yet, so everything after the next section still describes the live game.

What update 1.1 changes

BSG's own wording is that many side tasks come off the list "leaving only a few, such as A Shooter Born In Heaven", and that in exchange Collector will ask for Loyalty Level 4 with all traders plus a separate Fence reputation threshold.

The new gates

  • Loyalty Level 4 with every trader. This is where the work moves to. LL4 is bought with cumulative spend at that trader as well as with your level and reputation, so the new path rewards trading steadily all season rather than clearing a checklist at the end of one.
  • Fence reputation 3.0, counted separately from the rest.
  • Player level 40 — lower than the 45 the current path effectively demands, because the level now comes off a shorter task list.

The tasks that survive

  1. Chemical – Part 4Skier
  2. A Shooter Born in HeavenMechanic
  3. The Tarkov Shooter – Part 4Jaeger
  4. Sew It Good – Part 4Ragman

The "Kappa Path" achievement is going away. BSG have said it stops being obtainable once the first season begins, and that earning Kappa under the new rules grants a different achievement instead. If you are close on the path below, finishing it before 1.1 lands is the only way to get the original.

The rework itself, the Loyalty Level 4 requirement and the separate Fence threshold are quoted from BSG's announcement. The exact figures — Fence 3.0, level 40, and the three tasks besides A Shooter Born In Heaven — come from the detail published alongside it and are reported consistently, but no official patch notes exist yet. Treat them as subject to change until 1.1 ships.

The path, end to end

Everything from here down is the live 1.0 requirement set.

  1. Clear the Kappa-required tasks, trader by trader Prapor · Therapist · Skier · Peacekeeper · Mechanic · Ragman · Jaeger · Fence There is no clean rule for which tasks count — BSG decides, and it changes with updates. The wiki marks every quest page with a "Required for Kappa container" flag, and the Quests table has a column for it. Assume any task you skip is one you will come back for.
  2. Unlock Jaeger early Introduction · Mechanic Jaeger gates a large slice of the mid-game task tree. Leaving him late is the single most common way to stall a Kappa run.
  3. Unlock Lightkeeper Six quests from Mechanic, gated behind Scav karma +1 Start this in the mid-wipe, not the last month — see our Lightkeeper opening guideline for the full chain.
  4. Reach the level requirement Player level 45 — Intimidator is the highest-level Kappa-required task In practice tasks carry you past 45 long before you finish them, so the level is rarely what holds you up.
  5. Collector unlocks from Fence Fence · he contacts you, you cannot ask for it
  6. Hand in all 41 items → Kappa Every item must be Found in Raid

Start a Collector stash on day one of the wipe. Every one of the 41 items below must be found in raid. Flea-market and insurance copies do not count, so an item you sell early is an item you have to find again — not one you can buy back. The players who finish Kappa are almost always the ones who never sold the first one.

Running order that wastes the least time

  1. Early wipe: push levels and the flea market unlock, and do tasks in the order the traders hand them out. Do not skip ahead.
  2. Unlock Jaeger as soon as he is available. His line gates a lot of downstream work.
  3. Build Scav karma deliberately. It gates Lightkeeper, and it only moves slowly.
  4. Batch map-specific tasks. Load a map once with four tasks for it rather than four times with one.
  5. Start Lightkeeper mid-wipe. The chain has 1–9 hour and 24 hour timers baked into it, so it cannot be rushed at the end.
  6. Audit the checklist above monthly and buy nothing — just note which ones you still need, and keep them in the front of your mind when you loot.

Things that cost people a wipe

  • Selling a found-in-raid Collector item because the flea price looked good.
  • Skipping a task that "does not matter" and finding out it gates three others.
  • Leaving Lightkeeper until the last month and hitting the chain's built-in timers.
  • Storing Collector items loose in the stash, where they get sold in a clear-out.
  • Assuming a bought item counts. For Collector, it never does.
